Ending on a high

Last month, in scorching temperatures of 29 degrees Paderborn United’s U15 played their final game of this season away at Sennelager.
In a truly thrilling and dynamic team performance United took the lead in the first half with a goal from Justin Sunwar with an assist from Niall James.
In the second half United continued to dominate the play, with some creative ball and foot work, but Sennelager couldn’t break through and the game ended at 1-0 to United.
Sennelager have been fairly consistent in their performance throughout the season and would have fancied their chances of becoming league champions on Saturday, but after their defeat to United they have to hope that third place Geseke lose to their opponents to take top spot.
United finish in fourth place in what has been a truly tight and competitive 9 a-side league which has seen the team grow and players develop. They are optimistic about the outdoor tournaments that will follow in the next few weeks and hope to bring some silverware back to the clubhouse at Bad Lippspringe.
The team is now actively recruiting new players for the new season which starts late August. If you would like to join the club please contact us on paderbornunited@gmail.com. This opportunity is open to all players in BFG regardless of where you currently live.
