For a worthy cause

John Buchan School recently welcomed some of the SSAFA team and presented them with a cheque for money raised at Camo Day – which was a brilliant €242.31.

Shawn Harris, Volunteer Support Manager SSAFA Overseas, said: “Thank you again to the schools and children who participated in Camo Day!

“It is great to see the younger generation getting involved in charity work, especially supporting one that benefits their military community.”

King’s School raised an equally impressive €245 which was very much appreciated. A big thank you to Mandy McLachlan and Tina Preddy who co-ordinated the day.

Sarah Elviss, Chair of SSAFA Paderborn, said: “Money raised in Paderborn stays in Paderborn.”

SSAFA would like to thank all who helped them raise the total of €1,600: Attenborough School, King’s School, John Buchan School, Bishopspark School, Acreswood Nursery, Mummy and Me Group, Musical Movers and unit welfare coffee mornings.
