SSAFA, the UK’s oldest Armed Forces charity, is excited to announce the annual Big Brew Up is now open for sign-ups.
The Big Brew Up encourages friends, family and colleagues to come together and host a tea party, while raising vital funds in support of members of the Forces community who are in need.
Fund-raising packs are now available to order for anyone who is eager to put the kettle on in support of the worthy cause.
The pack has all the ‘tea-ssentials’ for a successful tea party, including a Big Brew Up event guide, posters, event invites, collection tins, balloons and stickers.
All donations that are drummed up at your tea party will go to SSAFA, which provides vital support for members of the Forces, past and present, and their families when in need.
From helping those coming to terms with life changing injuries or having lost a loved one in battle, to providing care for elderly veterans, SSAFA works tirelessly to provide help and support for all members of the military family.
Antony Cotton, SSAFA Ambassador, said: “There is nothing I like more than sharing a cuppa and a chat with a mate, which is why I always look forward to SSAFA’s Big Brew Up each year!
“Our Armed Forces have dedicated their lives to keeping us safe and deserve all the support we can give them.
“I encourage everyone out there to get involved in the campaign, by inviting their friends and family over for tea and cake, and asking them to donate to this worthwhile cause.”
Tegan Jones, SSAFA’s Director of Fundraising said: “This June we are asking the public to get behind SSAFA by hosting their own Big Brew Up.
“It is a fantastic way to catch up with friends and family, try your hand at baking and raise money that will make a real difference.
“The donations SSAFA receives from its supporters enable them to continue to support members of the Forces community in need.”
